Elevate your favourite holiday drinks with Mulling Spices by Ollia! Whether it’s cider, wine or a cozy cup of tea, this blend adds a touch of warmth and richness. You can also take it beyond the cup and simmer on the stove to let the aroma fill your home this holiday season.
Ingredients: Cinnamon chips, allspice, orange peel, lemon peel, anise stars, maple sugar, cardamom pods, cloves.
How to Use Mulling Spices:
Mulled Wine
Gently simmer 1L of red (or white!) wine, 2 Tbsp of mulling spices, and 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup of sugar (to taste) for up to 20 minutes. Remove spices and serve hot with fresh orange slices and cinnamon sticks, or cold over ice.
Mulled Apple Cider
Gently simmer 1L of apple cider and 2 Tbsp of mulling spices for up to 20 mins. Remove spices and serve hot with cinnamon sticks, or chill and serve over ice. Also excellent with 1oz of rum or brandy added per cup.
Simmer Pot
Bring 1L of water to a gentle simmer on the stove with 4 Tbsp of mulling spices. Add other ingredients like apples, oranges, lemons, cranberries, or vanilla extract if you’d like. Keep at a simmer to fill your home with a beautiful seasonal aroma. Check on your pot every 30 mins and refill with water if needed.
